Every day, on construction sites across Italy, thousands of operators start a Polieri concrete mixer, load a mini dumper or operate a Polieri masonry saw. To many, it’s simply “a solid piece of steel” doing its job. But what happens before that machine reaches the job site?

Today, we’d like to take you behind the scenes of our factory and show you the journey of a Polieri machine—a process driven by customer feedback, Italian engineering and rigorous field testing.

Step 1: The idea is born in the mud, not in the office

None of our projects starts with a purely theoretical idea. Our inspiration comes directly from conversations with site managers, construction workers and our dealers. They’re the ones who tell us, “We need a narrower machine to fit through the doorways of historic buildings,” or “A tipping system that requires less effort would make a real difference.” It is the reality of the construction site that guides our engineers’ designs.

Step 2: 3D design and stress simulation

In our engineering department, market needs are transformed into detailed 3D models. We use state-of-the-art software to simulate workloads, vibrations and long-term wear.

The Polieri difference: We don’t design for ideal conditions—we design for the harshest ones. We know construction equipment is often overloaded and exposed to rain, mud and abrasive dust. Every steel thickness is carefully calculated to withstand these demanding environments.

Step 3: Steel selection and in-house fabrication

The heart of every Polieri machine is its structure. We use only certified, high-quality steel. Precision laser cutting, robotic bending and welding carried out by highly skilled professionals ensure a frame with no structural weak points. A Polieri weld is designed to last for decades—not just a few seasons.

Step 4: Powder coating and mechanical assembly

To protect our machines from corrosion caused by lime, cement and harsh weather conditions, we apply a thermosetting powder coating. The machines then move to the assembly line, where engines (selected from the world’s leading manufacturers to ensure service availability everywhere), gearboxes and safety systems are installed.

Step 5: The final test

Before packaging and shipping, every single machine undergoes a series of static and dynamic tests. We inspect electrical systems, verify the smooth operation of all mechanical components and ensure every safety device performs flawlessly. If a machine isn’t 100% perfect, it doesn’t leave our factory.
